Reality Bites: Reality As A Subjective Creation?
Conjecture 1: Singular Reality
What could be more confusing than trying to deconstruct something so unknown and misunderstood? Even our comprehension of the question depends on the proposed answer. That, in its self, should be more than enough to garner some of our every dwindling free thoughts.
What if reality is only a concept our mind in which nothing actually exists. For example, imagine a room constructed of mirrors. In it, a single chair lies in its center. You decide to sit down and, in doing so, you begin to notice the images of your self replicating infinitely. Now imagine that you were born in that very same room, without any other contact than the countless images of yourself. The closer they are, the closer it seems they perfectly replicate you. But as you look deeper into the mirrored walls, the images become distorted and even take on a likeness of their own. It appears as if there are others in the room looking back at you. But you know that not possible, right?
With this somewhat crude analogy, we can begin to see the implications of a singular, finite reality. If this truly is the face of reality, it would mean that everyone, and everything for that matter, is a creation of your mind. The fact that you are reading this means that you are the one writing it. You are the creator, God if you will. Sounds rather bizarre and utterly impossible, but is it? Could you even prove that this is not the case if you believed it was?
Well...
If the logic of the above holds true, it would seem that the answer would entirely depend on you.
